How to best attach two ends of evazote foam pad?

I’ve got a nice piece of evazote foam that came as packing material; I’d like to make a loop of it to go around my thermarest sit pad for extra foot insulation when it gets colder, and other uses. Does anyone know the best way to stick the two ends together? I guess the default is plain old cellophane tape but I’m interested in any other ideas.

Duct tape or is it called Duck tape, will fix anything

If you use glue, try a spot of glue on corners, in case the glue you choose dissolves your insulation. Also you can read all directions and precautions on glue package, to see if it’s right kind of glue.

When glue is drying, good to have two items pressed together, with a weight or other. And maybe temporarily held with masking tape, to be removed when glue bond is set

    Trust your gut

Perhaps that silicone tape that bonds to itself. Or "Rigging Tape" does the same thing. If you try this let us know if it works out for you.

I've repaired a few tears in my 1/8" CCF pad with contact cement & it works great. If you follow the directions, it should do the trick.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, I have some contact cement laying around so I’ll try a small area, and if that fails gorilla tape.

I have sewn 1/8th evazote with success, but Gorilla tape sounds like a good choice, too.

Fabric stores sell a 3M spray fabric adhesive. It is basically a spray on contact type cement. I have used it to join pieces of seat-back foam. Phantom Grappler's cautions should be used.

I make mug and pot cozies out of cut-up closed-cell sleeping pads. Tape (any kind, including Gorilla tape, ripstop tape and packing tape) always comes loose eventually. Gluing with E-6000 glue (the original, not the low-odor) has held the best. The glue stinks to high heaven for months, though.
