    Thank you for posting this! The CT is definitely on my bucket list. I know you haven't finished yet but do recommend N>S or S>N? So other than the 35 mile stretch you mentioned, you had no issues with a hammock? Was the trail very crowded? Thanks!

    From mile 0 to 410 the only place you won’t be able to hang is that 35 mile stretch. I imagine the last 76 miles is an easy hang also. Plenty trees to Durango.

    I would go Denver to Durango or N>S. That way you start at 5k’ and won’t cross 10k’ until mile 35 so you have a few days to acclimate. Unless your a really fast hiker.

    Awesome Pictures! The CT was beautiful this year. I cant recall if I slept on the ground any but probably did. I can usually find a nice bed of pine needles somewhere below tree line to make up for not carrying a pad. I want to go back one day and finish up the portion of the CT that is not shared with the CDT and possibly do the east colligate loop.
