Blemished tarp worth the 30% off?

I ordered a minifly and recieved this message. Has anyone bought like this? Is it still worth buying one that’s blemished? I wish I could see it first ha ha

It has come to our attention that our Brown/Grey 30D tarp fabric has a yarn or dye defect which still passes our water test.
We recommend applying a layer of silicone over these areas, and we will supply the needed silicone as well as offering 30% off the tarp.

Here are the options available to accommodate the situation:

    1. Keep the tarp, apply silicone, 30% off.
    2. Choose a different color tarp that is available
    3. We can cancel and refund the tarp, choose a different tarp model, and combine the order/refund shipping

If it were me, I would cancel and apply the refund towards a Thunderfly. For an extra $15, you get much better coverage. I like the Minifly, it's real cute, but small. The Thunderfly gives me a better sense of security from untoward weather events. Just my opinion of course...HYOH.

I had a misprint on my Superfly. Not sure what the issue is with yours , but mine is perfectly fine other that the print.

    I got 25% off.

I recently bought the same tarp and opted to keep it with the discount. Applied no silicon anywhere, had it in hard rain a few times, no issues. It’s become my favorite tarp.

I bought my Superfly on a cosmetic blemish mark down, and for the life of me I've never been able to find exactly what's wrong with it. They distinguish between cosmetic and functional blemishes, I think?

Ha! Same here, I also could not determine where the blemish was. Once I got a few daps of pine pitch on it, no chance of finding it I suppose.

No issue with my blemished Minifly. It saw a half day of medium and light rain with no issues. There was visible defects that I could detect.
