HG goodies to cheer me up

Sitting at home recovering from foot surgery…..no countryside or escape for several weeks and a few more weeks to go yet.
But DHL has just been with some HammockGear summer goodies to cheer me up…a dcf hex tarp and 40* quilt set, roll on recovery.
Hope everyone is doing better than me at the moment and getting some green time in the woods…make the most of it, I’ll never take for granted the simple ability to just go for a walk or camp out…it’s a tonic that becomes a need.

Yeah baby... I'm waiting for my 40° quilt set & DCF tarp too. Getting some HG goodness during your downtime should definitely help, even if you can only sit there & look at it & dream about your next outing!

I'm no doctor but as for coping with your foot recovery & staying cheerful, I suggest a few drams of a nice single malt scotch every now & then!

    Good luck with your recovery!

Bad luck mate. Hope you get well soon. At least with that new gear a winter camp is definitely possible, so you can make up lost time later on (and there will be fewer people about)

That’s some fancy stitching. I hope your pain goes away. Did you have bunion surgery?

    Get well soon

Thanks guys, yes it’s a bunion correction, bunion caused by an old accident and foot break that just healed up poorly, was causing much discomfort and shoe fitting issue, so in the end was a necessity for hopeful future walking.
I believe I’ve had a “Rotation Scarf & Akin Osteotomy” some fancy bone cutting and pinning!
Appreciate the replies and offer of a chat….I do have support here but miss the outdoors big time.

Wishing you a speedy and full recovery. I had foot surgery a few years back, and was sidelined for a bit. But thankfully everything healed well, and it's like nothing ever happened. You'll get back in the swing of things before you know it!

Getting about a bit now, managed a short cycle ride to a local hang spot.
Was a warm night of around 15c so my 40f quilt set wasn’t really tested but was a comfy night.
    The dcf tarp is ace.
