    Evolution of the spies

Greetings from the North York Moors😀 I have been a Backpacker for more years than I can remember. I think my long suffering wife wants to get rid of me as she said, “ I have got something for your birthday to go and hang your self in the woods”. As luck would have it my present was a DD Hammocks frontline hammock 🤣. Now I haven’t use a hammock since my jungle course when serving with the army back in the 1970’s. So any tip and tricks would be most appreciated.

I’m guessing, you can watch some YouTube about your specific hammock.
And Shug has YouTube videos on How to hang a hammock. How to pitch your tarp, insulation etc.
His videos are both entertaining and informative.

Then get out there and do it!
You might be able to use Hammock Forums to communicate with hammock campers in your local area. Then you could camp with them, and see several ways to get gear set up.

Always best to first time test gear, where you can bail in case of a SNAFU

    Welcome!

    Great wife there, awesome!

Yes indeed, test out first time and try to stay “close to home.”
People here are great and there’s a lovely bunch of videos from Shug to watch.

Hope you’ll get the hang of it, Cheers!

Read the ultimate hang, watch Snug videos & search the forum. Get out there & try many different things as nirvana is a fluid target. I personally like numerous setups as relating to location that I'm going to & how long the trip is etc. Also my preference changes as the evolution progresses & New equipment evolves. I consider it cheaper than drugs.
