Cool ViDEO: 5 Day Solo Canoe Journey BWCA PART 1

I've been dreaming about doing this and now it happened. First time doing a solo canoe trip. Only my second ever canoe trip.
Used the new Superior Gear hammock StarLite made of Cloud 71 and Argon....https://superiorgear.com/product/starlite-hammock
What a time. Immersed and surrounded by the BWCA. It was like being in Nature's Snow-Globe.

Always love your videos. Been watching heaps of canoe vids recently as vicarious alternative to Corona restrictions so this is great timing. Had a quick preview over lunch.Definitely got this one on the top watchlist for this evening after work!

Looking forward to this. Gonna watch it after work. I've not been out in my canoe in a couple of years due to the pandemic so videos like these get me through. Thanks!

    Looks like fun!

Have done similar trips in Algonquin Provincial Park and it is a blast.

Still have to be careful with the weight of gear and food, especially when you add a canoe and some long portages into the mix.

I hope you have better weather in Part 2!!

Fun video Shug. I've always wanted to do a canoe or kayak trip cause you don't have to be too quite as concerned with weight & can carry a few more creature comforts to make camp a little more enjoyable.

Thanks for posting & looking forward to your next installment.

Best part of your video was the smile you had. Showing just how happy you were to be out there.

    Nice!

Take one hammock, mix in one canoe and a pinch of our favorite Piney Woods ambassador, knead them roughly over a couple of portages and you've got my kind of video... There's nothing like loading up a canoe with all of the gear you need for a few days and just gliding through the landscape like a cloud in the wind, well except when the wind's blowing whitecaps into your face. Keep on keeping on!

P.S. Kudos for occasionally saying "portage" in the traditional French Canadian way. Did my heart good.
