Are you allowed to disperse camp in Ohio state forests?

You can disperse camp in Michigan but you have to print and fill out a free permit from the MI DNR and display it on your hammock.
    Welcome Pop_Eye,
There is no disperse camping in Mohican. There are 10 Camp sites on the trail. All are good but 9, 10, and 4 are fairly easy to get to. Only about a 1/2 to 1 mile walk. Here is some more information: https://ohiodnr.gov/wps/portal/gov/o...l-state-forest

I’m leaning toward Friday, if my Saturday thing is a go, then I can just transition locations. I like camp site 4, level wall out, but sometimes we have to take what we can.

Friday it is. What time would you like to meet? I can be there anytime on Friday.

Thank you for the links! The write up on the park and pack area is exceptionally good!

    Hey gang,

It’s been a few years since I camped with any of the Ohio crew but would love to get out. This Friday discussion sounds doable.

    Bannerstone,
It has been a long while. You and any other’s are welcome to come on out and join the campfire council.

    Open invitation!

For anyone interested, first Hammock Forums member to get to the sign-in kiosk should pick the best available site, 4,9,10 are good, and note HF in the left side margin next to their name so subsequent members can follow and post if or when you have a signal. Please post if you’re thinking of going so we can put a reasonable count in for group size when signing in.
Hope to see all of you there.

    FYI All,
Just heard from RevB that he is not going to be able to make it Friday. So I probably won’t go out unless there is conformation from others for Friday at Mohican.

Sorry I was unable to make it Friday. A member of my church had Triple bypass surgery. I arrived at the HOS at 8:00am and was there until 7:00pm. I am hoping to make another week-end before year's end. I'll keep looking.
