Larger tarp setup for longer term camping

I have a winter tarp that I'm using now with doors which is nice because I can close them when it's rainy or too sunny.

The problem is that there isn't too much 'living room' under it and I have to basically be inside my tent. Doesn't leave much room for gear, a chair, a fire, etc.

Any vendors make any decent extra large tarps for this use case?

There are a few tricks not sure if you have tried them.

You can not close the doors, but tie them out towards the tree which gives considerable extra space on both ends.

You can also use sticks to lift the side tieouts to most any angle which also allows for lots of side space under the tarp.

    A fire?

I mean, I can get some decent room underneath my Thunderfly if I use my trekking poles. Even more so if I take down the hammock and find some sticks or another set of trekking poles for the opposite side. With the Superfly, it's absolutely cavernous in porch mode.

    But...a fire???

I don't normally have one under the tarp but I've done it before and as long as it's not ROARING you're generally fine. I put it just at the edge.

If you're stuck inside for 2-3 days due to some bad weather it starts to make sense

These guys make some good size tarps w/ multiple tie-out points.

I tend to live under my tarps as well when there's bad weather, sometimes two of us. I've been looking at these as an option, don't own one so I can't give you a report on them.

When car camping, I generally set up our 12’ x 12’ canopy (AKA an easy up) at the edge of my Superfly. It is great for preparing meals and storing gear. At night I’ll usually lower it.

Some people do something similar using flat tarps tied off to trees and an aluminum pole or two for height in the center.

The largest tarp with doors is going to be the Dutchware Wide Winter Tarp, I'm pretty sure. Kelty Noah 16X16 is an option but ive heard mixed reviews of the waterproofness. Ofcourse you can find larger rectangle ones (without doors)

PS: I would really like to see some pictures with a fire underneath your tarp lol. I would never be brave enough to try that without using a stove.

Having gotten a burn hole in a DCF tent (Duplex) from a fire that was about 40 feet away, I cannot fathom having a fire anywhere near my hammock/tarp.

I use the DD superlight XL. It's a monster at 2.9m x 4.5m (9.5ft x 14.7ft). There's plenty of room for a couple of hammocks and a big porch/living area and a lot of headroom (see photo). I find it great for camping when I'm out with my son. I've had it out in very heavy rain and we've kept dry.

This tarp is also not too heavy, so I've been using it when I'm out solo. However I've just ordered a new Hammock Gear tarp for solo use, as this DD one is a) overkill for solo and b) not great for 11ft hammocks. The 2.9m ridgeline only just covers an 11ft hammock and I find the 4.5m as the ridgeline is too long, however I've not tried any tarp origami with it to create doors etc.
