    Some woods tends to create more sparks / embers.

    I just keep it small and feed it often but it's not like I have it going all night. I'll just cook and shut it down. It's mostly for serious situations when I do this like if it's raining for 3 days and I have soaked gear.

    Last time I did it was when I was stuck in Yosemite for 3 days in the spring and it was raining a lot. I needed to try out some of my clothes.

    When I was first researching gear, I saw a ton of videos on YouTube about hammock hot tents. Not sure which one I saw that looked intriguing, but searching again, I see the onetigris tegimen. Not sure if that's the type of longer term camping you were going for.

    I searched a few threads and I haven’t found any rule against having TWO tarps.
    In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
