One thing I wondered about: those of you that have your suspension attached to your hammock (like, WB buckles with webbing)...if the straps get wet or sappy, how do you pack? Do you unthread the straps from the buckles?

Hammock inside the catch-all, which is inside the pack liner. Tarp is in the PackNet on the outside of the pack for quick deployment if needed.

Custom packs are nice. The Bonefire Raven has a special pocket for suspension and stakes. In fact there is a pocket or place for everything that doesn't need to stay dry, on the outside of the pack. If one is empty I've either lost something or haven't packed it up yet.
Signature suspended
I usually keep my hammock and tarp in separate stuff sacks and keep them in the outside pocket of my pack. I figure those stuff sacks with the opening pointed down are water proof, and I can just reach into the pocket quick and pull them out to start getting stuff setup. Its worked for me so far at least!
I put down items like a puffy and quilts and my night clothes in the liner.Hammock, tarp, suspension and stakes are in a separate stuff sack and placed together in a larger stuff sack to have them double bagged and containerized.Ursack goes on top of pack and has the contents in a water proof liner of its on.Fuel and cook kit goes in one side pocket while
trowel, sanitary kit,and first aid emergency items go in the other pocket.Everything that goes in side pocket is TIED to the pack as I learned a lesson once the hard way........
+1 for inside the pack liner
underquilt, topquilt, unstuffed on bottom. Hammock stuffed on top of them. Then rest of gear on top. Like a good quality pizza..
