MI - Looking for an overnight hike - Upper Penninsula

Looking to have a 1.5 day hike while driving through the UP in early August. Looking for the following, but will probably have to negotiate on some of it:
    1. Wooded
    2. 10-15 miles
    3. Loop (vs there and back)
    4. Dispersed camping
    5. Water available somewhere along the route
    6. Allows dogs
    7. Low traffic (e.g. no Manistee or Jordan trails)
    8. U.P., but perhaps upper lower peninsula...

Best I've come up with so far is the McCormick wilderness tract, but is a there & back and only 7ish miles. We could always base camp and do a bit more without the packs though. I've already done it, but my wife hasn't yet.

Anyone have any other good ideas?

Not a total loop, but east of Vanderbilt in northern lower MI there's the High Country Pathway. You could hike north, camp, then hike back south and take the Shingle Mill Pathway to break it up a little. So mostly out and back with about 4 "new" miles on the return. The whole loop is about 80mi, so forget that

No good loops in the UP come to mind unfortunately.

There appear to be several possible loops of about the length you are looking for in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness SP. The ones I see in All Trails are: Government Peak Loop, Cross and Little Carp River Trail Loop, Summit Peak to Mirror Lake to Lake of the Clouds Loop. There may be variation options. I haven't hiked any of these myself, so can't speak from 1st-hand experience.

Not sure on the pet policy but the Sylvania Wilderness checks a lot of your boxes. Might be worth a look. I love it up there.
