Setting up the top cover/underquilt protector in the "chinook" configuration

My Memorial Day gear just arrived, including a top cover and underquilt protector, and I'm trying out the chinook configuration (top and bottom zipped together rather than to the the hammock, which floats freely within).

I couldn't find any instructions for doing this, so I thought I'd ask on here. I'm guessing that the Wooki whip should be inside the chinook? Do I still attach the top cover end loop to the small biner on the end of the hammock, the way I would if I were zipping the top cover to the hammock?

    Thanks!

Edited to add: I have a Blackbird XLC

Sounds like you probably have a Blackbird XLC? I have an Eldorado, so practically the same. I think you have it right though; the Wooki attachments should be inside the chinook. I would think you would still use the small carabiner for the top cover too.

There are not forces on the topcover through the hammmock, but the biner will help to keep the setup in place. I use mine as they are installee on the topcover anyway. Those are necessary only when you attach the topcover to the hammock body.

    Thank you for the explanation!
