The Apex Climashield pillow is amazing!!

Started with a couple of different blow up pillows and they did not give me a comfortable night sleep at all. Searched, searched, and searched more and saw plenty of mentions in these forums to the Simply Light Design. I've learned a lot searching, surfing, and reading around here and each time it's taught me something beneficial.

I went to order one in black and they showed out of stock. Sent an email and Jared replied within 24 hours that he fixed it. Placed an order and had it in less than a week with overstuff!

Fast forward a couple of weeks and just had a couple of amazing nights in the wilderness. Feels like my sleep system setup is now complete (until I find the next thing to buy that I didn't know I needed). Soft, light, fluffy, comfortable, and fit in my bag like it was nothing. Didn't stray from under my head once and I didn't even use the attached string!

Thanks to all for mentioning this and obviously SLD!

Ditto! I use mine more as a neck pillow when I do platelet donations. It's just the right size and firmness to prevent a sore neck after sitting still for 2+ hours.

How small do these fold up? My blow up that is ok I've been using for years, folds up to about half size of a deck of cards. Pretty small. I like that

    Thanks

I smash mine down in the bottom of my pack so it's at least as flat as a notebook

Mine will compress inside the hammock into its stuff sack, though I don’t think I’d want to do that for long-term storage.

This is exactly what I do, too. Short-term, only. Love that pillow.

Sounds like you had the same experience I did going to an actual pillow! Perfect for a hammock and found it worked really well in a tent as well. Had thought maybe it'd be too small but it wasn't.

Oh my, this thread reminded me of the biggest loss of my life. Such a pillow was stolen from me by a camping neighbor. I have no proof, but I know it was him. Because a decent person would say goodbye before leaving, but that guy ran away like a rat. By the way, I can bet one thing you didn't realize you needed was bamboo sheets, haha. Here you can choose a great option https://bamboobedsheets.net. It's the second thing after the Apex Climashield pillow that made me love sleeping again. However, I sleep on the sheets at home and take the pillow with me on hikes. But sleeping should be pleasant everywhere! Oh, I'm going to order a new pillow...
