Has anyone successfully hammocked in the LaCrosse Basin?
Marmot Lake, Hart Lake, and/or Lacrosse Lake?
In all the pictures or videos I have seen, the trees look really sparse up there.

My last trip up there was before I got my first hammock- so no first hand experience. It is probably possible to find a hanging spot if you don't mind "less then ideal" conditions. Marmot Lake would have the best chance for bigger trees- Lacrosse is the most open. There is a way trail from Hart (or Heart) Lake up to the ridge where you can sit and view the Enchanted Valley chalet 4,000' below. A rough trail supposedly continues down to meet the O'Neil Pass trail.
