My apartment was robbed. They really cleared the place out. Took all my electronics and even the low-profile 5ft aquarium I had mounted on the wall. Thankfully I had my main hiking gear with me at the time; that would have really hurt.
They tossed the place pretty hard. Dumped the quilt out of my bedroom hammock and unclipped the underquilt from the wall anchors (I found it in the kitchen).
That hammock is my cozy retreat from the world, and some pant-smear had their filthy paws all over it.

Thanks. I guess the silver lining is I can use this as an opportunity to live a more minimalist lifestyle and maybe there's some insurance money I can spend on a new Dream Hammock. sad lol.

Man, I'm sorry about that. Thieves suck so much. Sounds like you are going to use this to restructure which I guess is about as good as you can do.
I can commiserate with your misfortune. Decades ago when I was a pup our apartment got burgled too. We didn't have much worth taking, but lost a ring and minor things that I can't remember. The worst part was cleaning up the poop pile left on the carpet, which according to the police is not an uncommon activity among thieves.
They used my q-tips. The cops said they've never done it before but I convinced them to take them for DNA testing.

That's how I wash my hammocks (although mine don't have nettles). I usually wash with some other random clothes to fill the washer. Works great!
