true once you get past the walmart at 280 and 64 you might have a few hundred yards of cellphone coverage, but you still have a 5 mile drive to the parking lot.
Once you get to the trail just follow the red marks on the trail and you will be fine.

Im finally thinking I can make this hang. btw... for us folk who are hot weather challenged, I found this just recently on the forum....https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...-in-the-desert
I will try to make this one for at least Friday or Saturday night. This will be my first "hang" so I'll practice my social graces ahead of time. Is there easy access to water at the site or should I plan on toting some?

Clear flowing creek at campsite. Might need a water filter. A friend of mine had bag of water from creek, and poured in his coffee mug. He figured, since he was boiling water, he didn’t need to filter. He’s alive today!
If I got paid to tell lies
It just wouldn’t be as much fun
This is a great one for your maiden voyage. If you happen to forget something, the parking lot is only a mile away. Plenty of trees and easy access to water. Some people day hike, some stay around the fire pit all day, some go fishing, some go in to town and have a sit down lunch. No expectations other than to have fun and relax.
