What is a good thing to have for sitting around a campfire when backpacking?

OneWind makes a nice gear hammock/rain cover that can also be used as a hammock chair:

I've used it in all three capacities at one time or another and it's worked well for all of them. I weigh around 195lbs., so it's plenty strong as a chair.
