I prefer the Loop Aliens, to the Flyz, simply because there are no sharp edges. I worry that the sharp edges will do some damage when the tarp is in the backpack. The Flyz and other variants do feel a bit easier to use though.

I looked up Jeff's toggles, and they're $15 a pop on eBay, compared to $8/ea for Flyz...am I looking in the wrong place? I am genuinely curious if they can found cheaper. Thanks!

    These? $12 for a 10 pack.
    Course you only need 2.

I saw he came out with the titanium ones. I’m guessing he’s testing using these for a hammock suspension? The notes say it works well it’s 7/64 Amsteel.
Anyway… his site is a mess. I can never find what I’m looking for.

I’ve been using these toggles for awhile (months) and really like them for the tarp. I use a Dutch hook on one side and this toggle on the other. You can make a 3:1 advantage by looping the line around the nose of the toggle. I haven’t been doing that - I just go around the tree with the line and then wrap it around the toggle a couple times. Easy. And love how easy they are to move up and down the line.

that's the reason I'm interested in about the toggles too...I love my Dutch Flyz but they're not the easiest things to slide if I need to move them closer/further to the tree. If the holes were just *this much* bigger they'd be perfect. Fig 9's work good but the teeth chew up the cord, so they're in reserve. I have the tools to enlarge the holes on the Flyz but I'm cheap and I don't have the sense of fun and danger if I end up destroying a couple in the process
