What's the difference in lay between the different hammock makers?

I don’t think in general there is huge difference, but there are some based on length and asym or not, special features. But, in general, I find them equally comfortable.

To me much of it is whatever you are used to. My first hammock was a net less and I find that I am most happy with a net less hammock and a fronkey style net. If I had started with a zippered net, I would imagine I might prefer that.

Anyhow, I don’t think the difference between a $100 and a $300 hammock would be 3x the comfort by any stretch.

The question came to me because some people are very comfortable in brand X hammock and seem to be uncomfortable in brand Y.

So I thought maybe they all do the trick a little different.

I found a slight difference with how the Warbonnet Blackbird lays, due to the footbox, compared to other hammocks. Only slight though. It was the only hammock I've had with two layers, so was less "stretchy", with may have contributed to the difference as much as anything.

I'm concluding that single layer vs double layer is a bigger difference than hammockbrand.
