    Always look up

I can across this whole walking in the park today. Folks frequent hang hammocks right where this hit.

I’ts a well maintained park, I’m surprised these branches weren’t cleared before. A good reminder to never take tree safety for granted.

Yes....trees do fall and drop limbs more than we know. Lots of tree deaths yearly.
Always good to be aware and I feel a lot of folks just don't look for widow-makers enough.

I'm pretty cautious about gnarly looking trees. Moved my hammock more than once when I noticed something afterwards and got spooked.

Yeah, I walked an extra 3 miles to find another spot to camp on the OHT because of trees and limbs. Several were dead and only being held up by other trees. I REALLY didn’t want to keep going, and I thought it would *probably* be ok, but did I want to risk a domino effect in the middle of the night? Nope.

I’m surprised the whole tree didn’t come down - what with gravity and all
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
