    Hello from North Texas

New hammock camper here. 62 years young.

Edited to add: My Daughter and I go tent camping several times a year and she’s been interested in getting a tent hammock. So I’ve bought a Hennessy and will be building a stand for it in case there’s no other way to set it up. She turns 21 on our next trip so it will be a great birthday present for her.

Way to go, Dad! I hope y’all get out there and hitch up to your trees.

You have right many hammock campers out there in hammock country. They have some spectacular group hangs in Texas.

Welcome! Awesome Father and Daughter activities await you, that's for sure. There are a lot of fellow hangers around here, so don't be afraid to ask questions. Have fun!

North Texas Fairfield Lake annual event, circa 2019 11th Annual event.

    circa 2018 10th Annual Event

I am just completing this "XX-Stand" with Military Aluminum Mast pole sections: Not lightweight but is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. 20 4-foot poles at 2.2-lbs per pole. It is free standing with no need to anchor.

The November hang is well worth the trip.

Ya'll sick of the rain and hail yet?
