Bridge Buttons on hardware-laden hammocks? YES!

I released the Bridge Buttons a few weeks ago and since then have gotten lots of comments on if they will work with an old style Ridge Runner, Banyan, or other bridge hammocks with metal hardware between the suspension and hammock body. The answer is "yes, with some modifications." I just finished this tutorial video where I walk through the process of removing the metal hardware and installing new (or modified) dog bones to work with the Bridge Buttons.

This mod will protect more than just your tarp. You will no longer need to worry about snagging your hammock, bug net, or quilts on the metal edges. And as a bonus, the buttons make perfect quilt attachment points!

If you don't want to do the conversion yourself I will be offering this as a mail in service. I don't have it up on my website (yet) but feel free to contact me with a request.

I forgot to mention the weight savings in the video. Dropping the Ridge Runner hardware and installing the buttons saves a whole ounce on the hammock.

I have the old style RR with metal hardware. Ordered the Bridge Buttons and dog bones on Sunday, received in mail today, took me about 45 min to install with no issues. This is a great improvement to my RR. Thanks Fugal Innovation.

Changed mine out last week while watching the YouTube video. Changed my dog bones out to orange at the head end, green on the foot end. Took a little time to get the buttons in. Turned out great
