    Ridgeline for cuben fiber

Does Hammock Gear have a ridgeline recommendation for their cuben fiber tarps; a continuous ridgeline or not?
Happy trails to you until we meet again.

Cuben (DCF) tarps are no different than any other tarp when it comes to ridge line choice.

However, the discussions about whether to use a continuous or split RL, the various advantages thereof and rationale therefore, and what kind of cord, hardware and/or knots/hitches have gone on for thousands of posts in many threads.

I think Hammock Gear likes to have a cat cut ridgeline. They can make a flat ridgeline or a cat cut ridgeline, either way, your choice.
If ridgeline is cat cut, then it’s probably better to have ridgeline above tarp rather than below tarp (inside). This will allow cat cut ridgeline to be tighter and besides looking neater, it probably is less likely to have rainwater pooling in ridgeline trough or dimple.
Some hammockers use a continuous ridgeline and some use a split ridgeline. Both work, and it’s your preference
You can notice split ridgeline is lighter weight and less bulk
Split ridgeline and ridgeline above tarp don’t have rainwater running along a line inside tarp to drip on your head and hammock
Neither of the above can provide a good clothesline like a continuous ridgeline under tarp can provide.
You can try all different ways of rigging your rig as you decide what works best for you.
I use 1/8 inch amsteel with shoestring driplines as a continuous ridgeline under my tarp. Most hammockers don’t use 1/8 amsteel for tarp ridgeline
    You are free to choose

We don't have a preferred method of hanging your tarp, but I personally use a continuous ridgeline with mine. A couple of things that we DON'T recommend. Don't overtighten the lines as you can cause delamination over time. Lastly, if you have a continuous ridgeline, hang it over top of the tarp. If you hang the ridgeline underneath, it can cause abrasions on the material, leading to delamination over time.
