I’m shooting for 50-ish. One benefit of being short is not needing much length. I was going for around 66” on the TQ, and it ended up being 63” after lofting, which is plenty. Comes up to my eyeballs. I don’t ever pull it over my head, so I didn’t think much more was necessary.

I don’t expect to lose much with the UQ due to loft, since I’m using a differential cut for that one, but we shall see...

I did add some Line-loc 3’s to this one, which I didn’t do with the last UQ. Not including the rest of the thread to hold it together, it should come out just shy of 7oz (without the suspension). That’s the plan, anyway.

    That'll be amazing @sub 7oz for a 40deg.

I've considered knot solutions for UQ but I have to admit that LLs and S-biners are hard to beat.

Although a 3-wrap Grip hitch (as LL substitute) works very well with shock cord.

Yes, it seems I’m forever trying to find a “better” way to hang my tarp and UQ. I don’t even know if I’m going to USE the line-locs, but they’ll give me something to play around with. I’ve got a grip hitch on my current UQ right now, which is working okay so far.

Thank you! I just hope the wavy stitches stay in there! The UQ ended up looking much better up close. Still a few tension issues, but the WHOLE thing utilized the right thread this time. I blame the machine. I see an upgrade in my future...

That's a beautiful one, great job! A neighbor here is good at quilting. The last time I helped him install the suspension and bumper from 4Wheelonline onto his truck, he mentioned he's going to have a big quilt project this year.

Thanks! I really had to learn as I went with the first one. I could barely manage a straight line. It’s incredible what you can learn from the internet these days!
