Unfortunately, I've only got one. I'll need to find another to have a pair.

The first one I have heard of or seen. You might be able to have Dutch make you up a "Print to fabric" double. cool...
I suppose in Australia it is probably a good idea to show the wildlife that you are not messing around.
Lol. Nah, the snake that donated this skin did so willingly and painlessly.

I think snakes shed every season. So you just need to monitor the same snake, if it's your pet, or speak to the owner.

Snakes shed for the most part depending on growth. Since they're capable of going without a meal for up to a year or so if necessary, their frequency of shedding is likely, but not necessarily linked to the seasonal cycle of food availability and temperature.
I used to have pet snakes (Australian Carpet pythons) but this skin is from, as far as I can tell based on the ventral scales, a large venomous Brown snake. I found it on the front verandah one morning many years ago.
In case it's not obvious, a shed snake skin is far too fragile to use as snakeskins on a tarp. This post was entirely for humorous purposes.

Well played!
I'm in Arizona, I can get you a similar skin, how long, 11, 12 foot?
What snake do you have in Az that's that long?

Rat and Gopher snakes, there are still some monster rattle snakes here and there I’ve seen as long as 9 feet. 2 Springs ago I filmed a 10 foot rat snake making his way under mi Cannondale while I was pulled over. You don’t see that very often.
We even have a native Boa, but they’re only around 4-5 feet long.
I’ll go take a picture of a mounted rattle snake up in PHX in this 1800’s Cowboy Town (tourist attraction) that was harvested I the 1800’s when they routinely got huge.
