    Harbor Freight Hammock?

I found a Hammock that comes with tree straps at Harbor Freight for like $20. It looks to be decent quality, and getting a Hammock with straps for that price is a good deal if you are getting started.

    https://www.harborfreight.com/parach...aps-57399.html

Here is a link to the Hammock if you want to check it out. It is 9ft v 4.5ft. And comes with 9 ft tree straps.

    Length, width????

I along with many others started with an ENO hammock. While some are comfortable with shorter hammocks, eight to just over nine feet long, many find these hammocks less than comfortable for overnight sleeping.
I recommend getting a hammock at least 11x5!

My hammock is 12x6, very comfortable, but the oversize has problems for backpacking! Haha!

Most of our cottage vendors will make your hammock long and wide enough for a full night’s sleep.
Maybe 11 feet long and 5 and a half feet wide.

As always the choice is yours and nobody will laugh if your starter hammock is ENO sized.

    That $20 price is great

    Good luck?

I didn't buy the hammock but it is a good price for both Hammock and Tree Straps. I mean even if you get the ENO hammock, you have to buy straps separately.

I just saw those on the shelf while picking up some wheels for my dolly yesterday. I did not purchase one, but it looks similar to the half dozen I've bought over the years to lounge in when we take our RV places. Coupled with a $6 tarp from the next aisle over:

and someone could do a cheap night out in the woods in the summer (plus a bottle of picaridin or permethrin!)

Oh man I love to rag on Harbor Freight, but it's where I go when I have 3 options for a project:

    1. Spend $199 on a tool I'll probably only use once
    2. Spend $49 to rent the same tool
    3. Spend $29 to buy it and not really be out anything if (likely when) it dies on the second use (if there even is a second use)

OK I exaggerate. I did pick up a nice bench grinder for $39 last week.

For hammocks...looks like my old Grand Trunk, which I loved and used exclusively for at least 2 years.

I bought an identical pair of these through Amazon for my kiddos' bedrooms. At only 9ft long, they're not roomy, but they're perfect beaters for my kids. I find them comfy enough but would never have them in my kit for regular use.

+1. Great inexpensive option for kids, but IMHO not big enough for an adult. Nothing under 11 foot for me, and I did a DIY that was going to be 11', but it was the end of the roll and they gave me the extra for free. Turned ot to be just over 13 feet of awesomeness!

I bought a Harbor Freight soldering iron once. When I plugged it in, it melted itself. Akin to that great line in James Bond, Spectre, where Q says, “I said to bring it back in one piece, not bring back one piece."
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
