5 of us decided to do a fun overnight trip in Shenandoah, where temps dropped to about 26 or 27*F at night. Great trip, always a good time with some buddies. Got to see how the Autumn Ultralight CRL held up overnight for the first time, it is great, I really liked it. Also tried hardtack for the first time, which is pretty neat. Give it a watch and let me know what you think!
Looked like a fun trip. We did the Big Meadows, Hawksbill & Rose River Loop (~21 miles) a few years back and it had a bunch of scenery - views, falls, streams - maybe a route to keep in mind next time you’re in Shenandoah.
Nice, yeah I think staying on the AT in Shenandoah may miss out on some of the better scenery up there. I am wanting to hike all of the AT in Virginia, and that was one of the guy's last section before doing it himself, but that loop does sound like it will have more scenery to enjoy for sure, thanks for the suggestion!Originally Posted by Layne
