    Hello from the four corners!

Hey guys, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself as well as open a dialog about what I can and very well might change. I am fairly new to hammock camping (yet to do an actual beyond the yard) but made the decision to hang last year. Since then I've already upgraded nearly all my equipment. I started with cheap amazon gear and then started the fun but tedious task of modifying that gear to make it good enough. My first hammock was a Chinese parachute hammock with attached bugnet that was just shy of 10' and if memory serves, it was 60-64" wide. The underquilt I made from a camping blanket that came with a stuff sack. I got a cheap onetigris topquilt and a free soldier tarp. All of this has since been replaced by a dw chameleon, a hg incubator(20*) and burrow(30*), wb thunderfly tarp. I also made the decision to try a full time hang in place of my bed. that is a new decision and as of a week in I am still thinking that this will be my path forward.

Ps a bit about myself is that I am 210#s 5'10" ish and in my 20s

Greetings Dodeedo! You started hammocks like many of us. My first hammock was an ENO Doublenest.
Lots of good people here, to chat with, exchange information, and hammock camp in local group hangs or smaller bands of hammock aficionados.

Your probably in the only quarter of the four that has real trees.
I'm desert hanging a lot and because of that have worked hard on figuring out which of the many hammock stand versions work best in my life.
Something that you may want to look into if you go very far from your backyard.

    Welcome to the obsession.

Welcome! Sounds like you've got a pretty decent setup!

Of course, your gear closet will soon find itself filling up with more and more and more ...
