    Ridgerunner spreader bar question

Im going on a 2 day camping trip tomorrow and i cant not for the life of me find the 4" additional pole for the head end of the hammock. Ive never tried this before but is it ok to use the hammock without it?

Yes, it is perfectly fine to use without that piece. Depending on your shoulder width and sleeping position you may get a little more shoulder squeeze.

Some prefer not to use that additional insert - which is why it was removable. Note that the newer models apparently have abandoned that center piece and just have the full width.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I lost one too for my wife's RR. I bought a full width half bar from Dutchware and cut it down. Make sure you get the half with the insert.

Note that the newer RR’s don’t have that removable piece. Just two pieces for the head end, two shorter pieces for the foot end; but now the two foot end pieces can be carried inside the two head end pieces.
