Hi everyone. I just joined and I'm thrilled to be here. I live in beautiful Pennsylvania. I'm soon to buy my first set up, so I'm a total noob to hanging, however I do have some pack time under my feet.

I look forward to making some nice memories and maybe some new friends too.

You have lots of good trees for hammock camping, in Pennsylvania.

Browse Hammock Forums and search for topics that are here. I use Google to find information, and it searches usually find posts on Hammock Forums.

Maybe go to a group hang or two, to see lots of hammocks and tarps rigged in every imaginable way.

Welcome from Pittsburgh. I'll echo the recommendation to check out a group hang. The Fall MAHHA was just announced for the first weekend in October, and there's a smaller summer hang at Minister Creek Recreation Area in ANF coming up the second weekend in July.

There are several great group hangs coming up where you can meet more of us crazy folk who like to sleep suspended between two trees, get advice, share food, and generally have a good time, as you've already seen upthread.
