    Banyan Bridge

So I emailed Dutchware and asked about availability I believe February-ish and the response was sometime in March or April. Well May is closing in fast.
Just wondering if anyone else had heard the same or if the production is pushed back further.
Can’t wait to spend some money!!!
Im probably just going to wait and see between when the Banyan is available and when a Ridgerunner goes on sale and go with which ever one happens first.

    Simple problems I know

    Thanks for any info

You'll love the Ridgerunner you are going to order during the WB Memorial Day sale.

Dutch posted on a Facebook hammock group recently -- Banyans available maybe by late summer / early fall. Still dealing with supply issues, this time it's the spreader bars I believe.

I emailed Dutchware about the Banyon availability and received this reply from Dave: “Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately, supply chain issues have caused further delay of the Banyan Bridge. We were expecting the necessary parts to arrive by now, but we were recently notified that they have been pushed back to this fall. Of course we hope these parts arrive sooner, and we're also looking for other sources, but all we know for sure right now is fall 2021.”

    That is totally me.

After a week in it at my son's scout camp, I liked the RR enough that I don't think I can justify a Banyon when they finally are available

I ended up doing the same thing. I ordered one before BSA camp and slept in it the whole week. I'll probably still order a Banyon though because I feel there are a few areas it improves on. The WBRR really needs to improve on its ability to hold some weight on the ridgeline used for keeping the netting out of your face. I would like to at least be able to hang my phone up without having to move to a stronger elastic cordage.

Do you find the ridge runner to be tippy at all? Some of the reviews I saw said it was tippy and the banyan wasn’t as bad. I’ve been waiting to order a banyan for the wife but I’m running out of time. Several family trips coming up this fall.

No. I didn't think it was tippy at all. It's not quite as "stable" as my big-boy bridge, but I loved the side saddles and integral bug net.

Just add your own ridge line like I did, problem solved
