    Snakeskins

Does anyone sell the snakeskins that are long enough to just use 1 instead of overlapping 2 (1 from each end)? I just use 1, but it isn't quite long enough without stuffing the last foot or 2 of the hammock inside. It works for me, but just wondered if there were other options.

    Thanks

MountainGoat made mine. I'm not sure if she is still doing them.

It looks like Kat (MountainGoat) is out of business due to fires in California. I hope she comes back to us.

Dutch has a tarp sleeve kit if you sew or have someone who does.

Yep, Jared will definitely make you exactly what you want.

Several vendors sell single piece snakeskins for tarps only, less sell the catch all snakeskin that it sounds like you’re looking for.

Ooops! I see now that you said "hammock" and not tarp.

I have one of Jared’s (Simply Light Designs) Catch All sacks for my winter set-up and love it. I got the one that is made of SilNylon but with a strip of netting the full length of it so that it’s a snap to compress the air out as I cram it into my backpack.

Dutch sells what he calls tarp sleeves. You can choose a split (2 x 6') version or one continuous 12' 6" version. I bought the latter and have found it up to Dutch's typical high standards. I use it for my tarp, but it's more than wide enough and should probably handle a netless hammock if the material isn't too heavy.
