    Hello From Michigan

    Hey there,

I love hunting, fishing, backpacking, being outside in general, and I love the ease of a hammock.

I'm 30 and I found HF from watching Shug's channel on YouTube.

Looking for more knowledge as it relates to hammocks and hammock camping.
I currently have a Bear Butt hammock and their straps/bug net/ tarp that I use when I can. It what was recommended to me by a friend. I gotta start someplace right? I am willing to try anything as the ol' bank account allows. ( Ah, the old Warbonnet taste on an ENO budget symptom! Yep!)

I am in the southeast lower peninsula of Michigan. I am married (Sorry boys! lol!) We will see where adventure takes us!

Plenty of trees in your woods. Lots of hammock campers near you.

Welcome! I'm originally from the TriCity area myself.
The hammock you have is a decent one - the key being the bug net. I'd never buy another which did not come with one! Get out and enjoy it. Find out what you like and don't like, then take a look at what's out there. I started with cheapie Amazon hammocks, and ended up buying an older Warbonnet. I liked it a LOT, but never got as comfortable as I thought I should have. I ended up giving that to my son and I ended up with a Dutchware Chameleon which I'm happy with.
    Safe travels!

Welcome! You already started with one of the best places to pick up tips, SHUG! I'd also check out Derek Hansen's Ultimate Hang for good advice. And of course, HF!

    Enjoy the trip (or hang)!

Welcome welcome from a displaced Michigander myself!
Don't believe that Eno's are second rate, they work great, are comfortable and are a mainstay in my rotation!
    Let your phreak phlag phly!
    Glad to have you!

**Edited for spelling, but funny thing is that "phreak" and "phly" don't get a red underline for correction!

    Welcome!

Living just south of you in Westland. I hang from time to time in Hines Park or metro parks when I’m not hanging up north.
