68 miles in 24 hrs Wow! You were quite motivated to get out of a tent and back into a hammock! Haha!

Dang! Impressive mileage for sure... with all that flat ground, I can see how you could make some tracks.

Is that an umbrella hanging off your shoulder? I used one in the Pecos Wilderness last fall & it's totally worth it.

Quite motivated to beat my friend, sadly I did not, he got 73 miles in an earlier section.

The flat ground came with blazing heat, no shade and questionable water sources that tasted like hot tea.

I didn't have an umbrella due to some poor gear chocies, if I ever do any hiking here again I'll definitely bring my umbrella they do help immensely where there is no shade to speak of.

Made it to Pinedale, WY at about mile 1800 ok my way North. This section included the Cirque de Towers alternate which is one of the most scenic parts of the CDT. It was a little rainy but the views were once in a lifetime. The Wind River Range of Wyoming is one of the most popular backpacking destinations in the US and I can certainly see why. The hike north continues. If any of you all live near trail towns in Wyoming, Idaho or Montana please let me know. It would be awesome to meet fellow hammockers as I believe I'm the lone hammocker at least around me currently.

Two Speed, on my map, you’re only an inch from Montana, you should be entering Montana any time now.
Eight states begin with letter M
Name the other seven states, that start with letter M
I never learned the state capitals

    To prevent brain cramp
Adios ten those eight letters along with letter M are abbreviations of those eight states
    MA Massachusetts
    MD Maryland
    MI Michigan
    MO Missouri
    MS Mississippi
    MT Montana
    ME Maine
    MN Minnesota

Two Speed, have you worn out a pair of your shoes&socks yet?

What food are you gonna have when finish your odyssey?

Any grizzly bears protecting their turf?
And any western forest fires making changes to your trail?

Any backpackers sharing journey with you. I did see some in your pictures.

Two Speed, tell your friends, if a grizzly is on top of you, eating you alive, to whip out their phones and film it—cause your friends back home will never believe it!

I'm a few weeks from Yellowstone and Montana. There will be several reroutes due to fires which are sure to shorten my journey sadly.

I've worn out many pairs of socks and a few pairs of shoes for sure. This trail is very grity.

Who knows what the food of choice will be. Tradition usually has a hiker take their favorite libation to the terminus to to have a victory drink somewhere between diet Coke and moonshine. Some bring whole bottles of champagne. I'd like to have a victory cigar as well but I'll need to contact a railroad Baron to see which kind to get as I'm not a cigar conesure. A hikers favorite food is always free food.

There are many backpackers who also have failed the mental sanity test and have set out to hike to Canada from the border of Mexico. One is a popular YouTuber that goes by IBTAT. You all should follow him for amazing scenary combined with ample swearing.

I'm sure they will provide ample evidence of my demise if it's bear related. I have bear spray now so at least I'll be pepper flavored.
