However it’s a different experience for everyone.

Good point... assuming you're able to stay on the trail without injury for a few or several months, fitness is a given.

For most of us (or maybe I should just speak for myself) I guess it's like the line from the Bob Seger song, Beautiful Loser... "He wants his home and security / He wants to live like a sailor at sea..."

    LOVE IT!

My company closed down operations in my area, but also gave me a 6 month severance. It's been amazing and I now can't wait to retire. Being out of the rat race for a few months and you really start to see it and understand how it often ruins being 'in the moment' quite clearly.

    Good for you

Ah enjoy it! My only regrets about any long distance trail is I didn’t do them sooner!

The miles are done and the hammock triple crown is complete.

    Special Shout outs to:

Shug from sector 7 for teaching me how to hammock camp

Beardo and SweatPea from thelongdistancehiker for hammock information on this “unhammockable” trail

Harry and the Hammock Gear team for making me a new tarp and mailing it to the middle of nowhere on short notice.

Dutch at Dutchware for making all the hammocks I have used on my triple crown trails and providing great support on the CDT.

All my friends on here and in our local hammock camping group for their support.

    Happy Trails
