    Is that above the treeline?
Treeline has stopped around 11k most days. Elbert was a few hours /miles up on the connector from the CDT but fairly strenuous for sure and definitely above tree line. We camped at treeline the night before to get a good start to summit in the morning.

Finally made it to Wyoming crossed the CDT 1500 mile marker or about 1/2 way of the official route. I have a tent now so post your best tent jokes in the comments so I can read them while I'm sleeping on the ground like a savage. I'm headed into the desert basin of Wyoming which is known for its lack of water and lack of shade mixed with infamous wind. Enjoy the pictures and I hope you as are all doing well.

I'm also following the Kids Out Wild family on the CDT. It looks like you are just a bit behind them. Is smoke and fire affecting your trek?

Yes. I had to do a giant road walk from steamboat springs to Columbine to get around the Morgan Creek fire and there are several more up North I'll have to navigate around. I've learned hiking out west just includes dealing with fires and hope to hike as much of the trail as possible.

Greetings from Lander Wyoming. After hiking 68 miles in 24 hours through the basin I'm happy to say I have my hammock back and a brand new tarp from the superstar team at hammockgear. They built me a tarp on short notice and sent it out fast. I have decided to use a continuous Ridgeline set up on my DCF tarp from now on. While I love the wasps, I suspect I was overtightening the Ridgeline and causeing some issues using end only lines. Hammock gear repaired my tarp once and is gonna attempt to repair it again so I'll have a spare. Many thanks to @Chop, aka Beardo, for sharing his continuous set up with me in addition to tons of other information about hammocking this infamously "unhammockable" trail.

Here are a few pictures from the trail.

Two Speed, 68 miles in 24 hours, is right many miles—and with a pack on your back! Wow Two Speed, did you have to do all your miles to rendezvous with your friends or meet with local chess club at the bar or library?
Or were you just feeling froggy!
    Great pix!
    Thank Wooooooo

Mr.Grapler, the 24hr challenge is just that hike as far as possible in 24hrs. No goal only for bragging rights. It's also quite the exercise in pain . If it were to meet somewhere as a thru hiker it would definitely be the bar because from my experience we are fans of everything from the lowest to top shelf libations. Thanks for following along hope to see you at the hangs this fall
