The Winds are gorgeous and enchanting!

Too bad about all the fires and smoke this year, however...

Gear wise, what I want to know about is that green shirt. Who makes it, and is it still holding up?

That is a new one from the PCT. It started the CDT and made it 2000 miles before ripping a little today. It is a Columbia PFG fishing shirt treated with insect shield. I prefer the button up for ventilation and and the collar to class the bar up a little when I go in . I have noticed several folks with sun hoodies which is what I may try next trail.

    Hello fellow tree dwellers.

Since my last update I have.

-Made it down to the town of Dubois
-traveled through the beauty of Yellowstone National Park
    -crossed the Wyoming-Idaho
-crossed the CDT 2000 mile marker
    -crossed the Idaho-Montana border
    - made my way to West Yellowstone to start
    The Big Sky alternate
-hammock camped with my new hammockgear tarp with it's new continuous
Ridgeline set up in a downpour and it worked like a champ.

    Enjoy a few pics.

    Happy Hammocking!

Wow, that is some amazing walk!

I'm sure that you and everyone in that part of the country are happy and relieved to see some rain but I hope you're not soaked for days on end.

Thanks for the info on the shirt. To have lasted that long I was pretty sure it was some sort of synthetic.

The rain isn't terrible, I remember weeks on weeks of rain on the AT. The weather is supposed to improve a little in the coming days.

I am extra hard on shirts since I sleep in my hiking clothes most of the time. The only break it gets the whole trip is it's weekly trip to the laundry.

Would you be able to share @Chops continuous ridge line set up if you have a minute of downtime? I searched for it but could not come up with anything.

Thanks for sharing your hike with us.
