I talked my wife into a trip to Linville Gorge for Spring Break this year instead of going to the beach. It was great to get out with the family and show them sone sights they have never seen.
Coming from West TN, it is almost an 8 hour trip but we'll worth the time. Due to the fact that my wife only mildly likes hiking we only did Hawksbill, Linville Falls, and Wiseman's View but did get to hang the hammocks of Hwy 105.
The weather was perfect....highs in the 50's and Lows in the 40's. Clear and calm until the final morning when rain set in aroumd 5:00 a.m. Packed up in the rain and headed down to finish off our trip with breakfast at Louise's.
