I went with purple on my blackbird. And I love it; it's not bright and obnoxious, but dark and rich.

The Eldorado was a beautifully crafted piece of gear, mostly comfortable for me. My preference is for a 62" wide hammock as well...my one gathered end "keeper" from Warbonnet now is a 62" wide original Blackbird in 40d nylon. I really like the footbox and how the bug net tieout system guarantees you have no bug net in your face.
The issue I had with the Eldorado could very easily be chalked up to User Error i.e. maybe it wasn't hung correctly, but I had a phenomenon I'll call 'cheek ridge'. Not calf ridge. At the head end of the hammock, the Dreamtex formed some sharply defined ridges that were not comfortable to sleep on as a side sleeper. I've never had that happen in any other gathered-end hammock made with HyperD, Hexon, or nylon fabrics.
Two out of three of my Ridgerunners from Warbonnet are Dreamtex and the fabric is fine and dandy for me in those.
I'm glad to hear you say that. I am awaiting a purple BB XLC and I was hoping that it would turn out to be a deep purple.
