I've put a Dramur UL on the wish list.

Very curious - has anyone effectively substituted a Large, mummy-shaped pad (25x77) Xlite, Xtherm or Uberlite in a Dramur? Or is that a forlorn hope?

I am curious how well the ammolite 20 fabric blocks wind and allows for ventilation. Have you had a chance to assess this?

It blocks the wind just like a regular bug net would - maybe a bit more... but definitely not as much as the regular 5.0.
I find it sufficient enough though.
The ventilation part seems to work fine - obviously haven't tried it in the summertime yet, but I'm sure it will perform OK.

I'm very interested in the XL UL but I'm close to the weight limit at 113kg (250lb). With a sleeping bag / quilt, drink, clothing and any other items I want to stash it's going to put me very near that weight limit. Are there any owners of a similar weight? If so, what's your opinion on the durability of the hammock and the fabric versus the standard Draumr? I appreciate that this is hard to gauge given that this has just come out so there aren't going to be any long-term reports, but I'm keen to know what your perception is.

Has anyone been able to compare the size of the new vs old tarp? Wondering how much bigger it truly is. Especially on the foot end.

    Thanks

From my own experience it definitely feels more of a "right" size for the hammock compared to the older Skjold and Borg tarps, as far as I know they simply made it 30% wider and longer.

I've had no issues with it touching the foot/head end of the hammock like the older versions did, haven't been out in inclement weather with it yet so I haven't had the need to pitch it real tight yet, but it'll definitely give you a lot better coverage than the older models.

As a follow-up to my own post...I tried a Large Thermarest with a mummy shape and thought it was fine, though I did not have a rectangular pad to compare it with.

Oh - and for the Dramur Ultralight, having purchased one here (from mo_hunter) and tried it:

Their fabric is exceptional. Feels very strong, little to no stretch, the see-thru aspect is great. And very light.
Super-well conceived and built - high quality, and very comfortable.

Only negative is that at 5'11" I thought I would fit better. But I am just touching one or both ends very slightly. They rate it to 6' 1", but I do not see it.

I'm a short guy at around 5'7" or 5'8" but I find it a bit short too. Mostly because I like to lay with my arms behind my head, I suppose.

How much longer does it need to be to feel like it fits correctly? I'm 6'5" and going for the XL, and wondering if I might feel the same way as you do in the regular Draumr.
