I previously had the 4.0. I started with the standard and thought the foot space was a little tight so I returned it and got the XL. I found that the XL had more space at the head area but not much more in the foot box. I thought the standard length was more comfortable. For the UL, I decided to stay with the standard length. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow.

Hammock arrived today. Pretty quick shipping to Missouri. Pad still hasn’t shipped that was ordered on Saturday. No time to set it up after work today.

Got my 5.0 XL today with the Winterlight XL pad. Full day tomorrow but I'll try to set it up & take pictures...Saturday at the latest. I'll leave YouTube video production to the pros like Shug!

I did not order their tarp as I have a UGQ Winterdream 12 I want to test with the Amok.

Wasn't a tough call for me at all. I backpack so a one pound difference is significant.

This is really good information. How tall are you? I really need tog get this right with my first order as I have gotten my self to many short hammocks already but I don't want or need a to long either. I'm exactly at their breaking point between regular and xl, 6.1 ft and they say many at that length prefer the xl

I had a Draumr 2.0 which is regular size. I'm 6' and I always felt my feet were cramped at the bottom so I sold it. Now I have the new 5.0 and I ordered the XL based on my previous experience. If you are 6'1", I would definitely order the XL.

I’m 5’10” and have longer legs, shorter torso. You could always try one and if it doesn’t fit right, send it back within 30 days and get the other one (will only cost you $15 for shipping label). I preferred the lay on the standard.
