    Hello,
I am new to the forum and from the Atlanta, Ga area.

I believe I am going to be attempting to arrive for the event Friday, although it will be in the late afternoon before I arrive.

What is the travel distance from the vehicle parking to the hang site? Is there water on site or will I need to pack in all of it? Trying to gauge my timeframe for attempting to set camp while there is still daylight.

Any ideas on what to bring to the potluck?

This will be my first group hang outside of camping with friends. I love hammocking and I am looking forward to scoping everyone’s kit!

Thanks I advance for any replies

    -Kit

it's a hunter's camp so you can park at whereever you want to hang your hammock and no water so you will need to bring water with you.

Once you turn left off Cranal road, take the second left to campsites ( first turn is the exit)

For your weather concerns, I will erect a 20 x 20 tarp so you will have a dry space to stay out of any rain Friday/Saturday...any firewood will be appreciated, I am bringing all the wood my trailer will hold after packing my camping gear, (roughly 2 x 4 by 2 feet deep).... got a potty? Bring it, NFS pit toilet is a 2 mile drive at the Sipsey Recreation Area, on your left at the bridge...
