That should be fine. For the temps I camp in I always found 30 to be standing in no-mans land. A bit too little for winter and a bit too much for summer, so I have a 20 set and a 40 set and use either or combine if really cold which has worked well.
If I were only going to have one set and expected to camp in the mid 30s, I'd go for a 20 degree set. It's easier to vent a bit than it is to shiver all night! . One thing folks forget it that a raining, windy 35 is much different than a clear calm 35.
