Hi, Everyone. I am new to hammocking. My daughter introduced me to hammocks about a year ago. I'm a trail runner still recovering from a tibial plateau fracture I incurred just over 2 years ago. I'm running again, but can't yet do the distance I used to enjoy, so I took up hiking to fill the need for distance. Hammock camping is the prefect partner to the hiking. I also hang in the park once or twice a week with several of my grown kids.
On overnighters I hang a WBBB, and in the park I hang a Hennessy Leaf Lounger with the pullout ties removed. I insulate with a 30 degree Wooki and a 30 degree HG Burrow. For suspension on both I use spliced Mantis hardware and 1" daisy chains.
I'm loving that Spring is here in AL, and the weather has been beautiful and warm. I only need my quilts now if I'm going to be out after the sun starts to sink.
I'm learning a lot from all you experienced hangers... thanks for all the good advise!
