    OH>March 2021 hangs-Planning

A little late getting this out there, but I'd really like to get out this month. My family situation hasn't gotten much better, but I should be able to get out for a night. As a starting point, how about the week of the 22nd? Weekday or Friday? I'll suggest Mohican. Of course, these are only starting suggestions. Chime in if you have any ideas!

I am up for anything. I am not available on March 24th and maybe a few days after depending on reaction to 2nd covid shot. Back is doing better. Hiked 3 miles today, no weight.

    Hobo,
I'm not hearing much chatter or interest. I am available this week end. I am also available next Monday. I get my 2nd covid on Wed. March 24th and not sure how I will be feeling the rest of the week. As for places to camp, AW Marion State Park is just south of me. It would be car camping but a nice primitive campground. However restroom lights and a light pole in the electric section of the park are left on all night. Cost would be about $25.00 split between the two of us. Another option might be Tar Hollow primitive camping spot.

Primitive Sites along the Logan Backpack Trail are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register and pay in advance at the General Store (seasonally) or Park Office in Tar Hollow State Park.

    Hike-in, tent camping only
$4/adult per night; $1/child per night
Sites are located near the fire tower (Tar Hollow State Forest) in the center of the Logan Backpack Trail figure-eight.
    All sites are carry-in/carry out
    Pit latrines near firetower

While I have visited here for the view, I have never camped here. But it is out the way (secluded.) Parking is fairly close at the Fire Tower, about a couple football field lengths to the campsites.

I am still open to Mohican as well.

    Let me know.

Yeah, unfortunately, the health situation here is not looking good. I'm not gonna be able to get out this month. I'll sent you a text later today. Just a rough time here. When things clear up for me, Logan sounds like a good place to tryout!
