Small, remote, dirt road drive, dry country National Park...daytime temps still hitting 37°c even though we're heading into Autumn. Rockhoppers delight.
Needed the adventure & the hang time.
Auburn Gorge
Granite Dragon eggs...tumbled smooth.
Freshwater mussels
Something has been eating a fruity diet.
Exploring
Open Ironwbark woodland, knee high dry grasses. Easy walking
Giant's eyeview looking upstream to Auburn Falls
Low hum of clumsy, flying beetles at dusk, wallabies appeared from nowhere hopping around the campsite, mozzies whined outside the bugnet...dingoes howled on & off throughout the night.
Overnight coconut yoghurt & hydrated dried fruit in the coolness of the morning.
