Recently there has been a lot of talk on the book of faces about quilts. Numerous myths, uneducated suggestions, and such. So I asked a couple of friends to join me on my weekly podcast to clear the air and provide some education. Cool. I know you didn't ask but here's some fodder for your conversation based on what I've read here and on Reddit and other sites. Plenty of confusion/misinformation to go around:
1. The role fabric and fill power play in determining weight and packability
2. 1 quilt to rule them all is probably not a thing for most people who go out in a variety of conditions
3. "What temp should i get?" is un-answerable!!
4. Many, many questions are easily answered with a simple inquiry to a vendor. For example, what size, what width, what color, customization. I'm not sure why people ask these questions on a web forum rather than putting the same energy into writing to the manufacturer
5. Do I need a hammock-specific quilt or can I use the one I tent with?
6. Over-fill. Is it worth it?
