The first thing that comes to mind when someone says, “Cedar Ridge Outdoors”, I think of southern comfort (Old Fashioned too ). Their quilts are some of the softest, roomiest, top quilts I have had the pleasure of burying my face in. This cottage company prides themselves in their homemade quilts, 100% sourced in the USA. They accommodate bigger and taller people in all their products. Over the years they have dialed in on what you, the explorer, really need to stay comfortable, warm, and protected in your hammock. They have created some rad custom printed quilts that people are freaking out over. Check their Insta link below for some very happy customers!

Now, their website does not picture them, but the owners of this company are the sweetest boys in the “615” area code. As soon as you meet them, they are insta-family. Aaand get THIS! They will ALSO be represented at Spring MAHHA this year. Yes sir, Warren himself will be in the camp sharing his debonair smile, southern charm, and fireside ambulance ghost stories. We appreciate his support and friendship. Richard and Randall, we will miss you, but we hope to see you at Trail Days in May.

A hearty “thankeee” to you, CRO boys for your incredible donation of the custom printed Virtus Xeros 20° underquilt at a $300.00 value. Whoa! Setting someone up for a high-quality hammock snuggle session!

This is gonna be a fun hang.... I'll get to see so many of my favorite people!!!!
"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.”

I’ve tried some cool and trendy backpacking brands and to be honest (let’s always be honest) except for a couple, they come up taste short. Seriously. I am a foodie who loves layers of flavor and I have certainly been short on time and have had to buy foods to backpack with. WHOOOSssshhhh in comes Packit Gourmet with bold and sassy flavors – indigestion free. Seriously, I interviewed Dutch asking if he liked this company and he sounded off with, “They are the Chameleons of the backpacking food industry”. He said he favorite was “The Big Easy Cajun Gumbo” which has a 4.37 fork rating from 686 fork raised. I mean, look at those colors and textures! They will have you jazzed and ready for your next stage of the backpacking schedule.

This amazing company has once again sent a donation in support of raising money for Trail-Related Organizations. Thank you, Packit Gourmet, for sending us a sweet sticker pack and a days-worth of meals, including:

BREAKFAST: Polenta with Pork sausage $8.49
LUNCH: Cajun Ranch Chicken Salad $10.99
DINNER: Texas State Fair Chili $11.99
    DESSERT: Mom’s Banana Puddin’ $8.99
    COCKTAIL MIXER: Moonshine Margarita $9.49

Packit Gourmet offers generous size portions. Check out where people are chowing down and give them a thumbs UP!

What has more functions than a Swiss Army Knife, is incredibly soft, and offers 100+ ways to wear it every day? Here is a hint: It is “Better than a bandana”.

Yeah, that’s right North x North Marino Wool Kerchiefs!! I swear, I do not know what I would have done without it when I was backpacking in 120 degrees. I was overheating. Alex got his NxN kerchief wet and put it around my neck to cool me off as we continued to bushwhack up the mountains of New Hampshire. It literally saved me from heat exhaustion and frankly from ruining our trip, which we’d been looking forward to for months. It was used on our head and necks to keep the biting flies off as well as protecting us from the sun with its UPF rating of 45-50+. My most recent backpacking trip it was raining. Every. Day. I covered the back of my neck to keep the cold rain from washing down my back and I was able to hike and do camp chores while staying warm. Literally, I do not leave home without it. #mytwocents

Check out NxN website www.northxnorth.co . He now has 8 colors to choose from to coordinate with your backpack, your socks, or your mood. Quality stitching, quality material, quality presentation all around.

Thank you, Chad, our fellow Marino-enthusiast, for your donation of:
    1. Hooded Neck Gaiter $30.00
    2. Handkerchief $35.00
    3. Kerchief $65.00
