"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
I treated everything with permethrin recently. Looking at the forecast, I'm sure that was a waste. But not complaining...60/45° is perfect. Saturday looks moist.
Fixed the corner tear on the Thunderfly. I had to use a silnylon patch for extra strength but it’s working out fine. Wish I could join you all as I’ll be in Bloomington mid-May.

Snow will be long gone by then.
I think we're in real good shape. Asking for 3 or 4 days in a row w/o weather change this time of year won't get you great odds.
I was trying to decide between rain gear, but the rain looks light and short and most if not all should already be under tarps well before it gets started on Saturday. Should clear off enough by early morning to maybe get a shot at the Lyrids.

Don't forget your raffle items. I've got a doosy or at least some ZPacks

Spent day sorting thru the gear I will bring which is a challenge as most of my camping gear is still in boxes and totes waiting to be sorted from our move as I build some new storage shelves in work shop. Have to pick up a cheap head lamp as the one I found in a gear bucket had corroded batteries and the insides were trashed. A rain jacket is on my list of items to bring.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
