    Thanks for the detailed experience!

You're absolutely right, the suspension is made by humans and there will be some natural variation. But that said, bridge hammocks are *very* sensitive to different dog bone lengths between the left and right sides where a difference in length of just 1/8"-1/4" is noticable when laying in it. Since the RR doesn't tip it follows that they have figured out how to minimize variation which would include the size of the loops.

I have been doing a lot of testing with different loop sizes to see what works best. I'll be offering replacement "matched pair" dog bones on my site to go along with the metal hardware conversion, and they will be a little more forgiving for installing the buttons. If someone has an unfortunate case of the button simply not fitting they will at least have the option to swap out dog bones.

I just got done making a video on how to convert an old style Ridge Runner into one that will work with the Bridge Buttons. The process will be almost identical for most hardware-laden bridge hammocks, for example the Dutchware Banyan.

arrowHead-equipment has a rubber "bumper" rather than a hard button. They were initially designed for the older bridge that had a hardware piece the spreader bar fit into. It looks like the design will still work with the newer style were the spreader bar pin goes into the Amsteel itself.

They cost $2.00 for a set of four.

Note that if you have an old bicycle inner tube lying around you could probably make a set yourself.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
